Lecturer and writer by trade, I lecture and research in
the College
of Applied Sciences and Arts (Kinesiology)
at SJSU. I also direct social media communications for the Department of
Kinesiology at SJSU.
The project that I am working on right now (that I am very
excited about) is the integration of education technologies in the university
setting at college, department, and classrooms levels. I am a member of the
SJSU iPad Faculty Learning Initiative and the Adobe Faculty Learning
Initiative.
My research interests include technology, technoculture,
popular culture, music, and community building. My current work is focused on
tech innovation in pedagogy, use of social media in higher education, and
tech-upgrading of college and department web platforms. I am currently reading
about cyborgian theories, future technologies, and the blurring of organic
and technological systems.
I developed the G+, Facebook, WordPress Blog,
Youtube, Pinterest, and Twitter social media sites for CASA and for KIN.
I am available for presentations on a variety of
topics including: stress and wellness, public health; future technologies;
leadership, group dynamics, and community building.
